Hi, I’m Elise,
founder of Enliven Outdoor Adventures. Growing up in country South Australia, my love for the outdoors was sparked by childhood weekends spent surfing the waves of the Yorke Peninsula and camping in the rugged beauty of the Flinders Ranges. Those experiences shaped my passion for adventure and the natural world.
After earning a double degree in Secondary Education and Health Science, I worked in the male-dominated outdoor industry for over a decade. From guiding snorkel tours to shark cage diving and kayak instruction, I’ve worn many hats. During that time, I noticed how often women faced barriers to outdoor adventure—and I wanted to change that.
I created Enliven Outdoor Adventures to inspire and empower women to step out of their comfort zone, challenge themselves, and build confidence through safe and beginner-friendly experiences. Whether it’s paddleboarding at sunrise, cycling along the coast, or attending a transformative women’s surf camp retreat, I’m passionate about helping people embrace the joy and freedom of the outdoors as they connect to themself, connect to other women, and connect to nature.

Our Vision and Mission
Our vision is for a future where the outdoors is a more equitable space for all. Our mission is to get women and girls outdoors for their body, mind, soul and planet. We work towards this by inspiring, lowering barriers and creating opportunities for women to move their bodies in nature.
Through our small-group, beginner-friendly, non-competitive offerings, enliven customers feel empowered and resilient in the challenges that life throws them, while also feeling more connected with the environment and more inclined to help protect it.
Enliven currently offers all-gender tours incuding guided stand up paddle boarding (SUP) tours and guided vintage bike tours at Normanville, Fleurieu Peninsula South Australia, as well as several all-women offerings; SUP tours, cycling tours, surf camps and kayaking expeditions to help lower the barriers to participation in outdoor experiences for women. We look forward to having you join the community of Enliven to support our vision!
