"I had a private SUP lesson with Elise from Enliven Outdoor Adventures today. As a newbie I had no idea of how to SUP. Elise covered all technical and safety aspects so I felt confident from the minute I stepped into the water. I totally enjoyed my lesson from start to end."

Frequently asked questions:
Q: Do I need to be a woman?
A: NO! These new Normanville SUP & Bike tours are open to ALL GENDERS :D Our mission is still to help lower barriers for women to participate, but sometimes that means bringing along the family! You’re welcome to learn to SUP with us, whatever your gender.
Q: Can my kids join in?
A: Children 11-13 may participate if an adult known to them is on the tour. Children 14-17 are able to participate without adult supervision (Elise has her working with children check and RRHAN-EC training). All paddlers under 18 must have the waiver signed for them by a care giver. For kids under 11, book in a private session (no minimum age).
Q: What if there’s bad weather?
A: While cold weather or a drizzle of rain won’t cancel a session (I’ve got jackets to keep you warm!) wind or waves might. If the forecast is too windy or wavy for your session to go ahead (ie over 10kts wind or over 0.5m waves, or lightning) We will contact you to cancel/ postpone your session as soon as possible.
Q: Am I too big/small/old for this tour?
A: You can’t be too small (I have XXS life jackets and stable boards) but unfortunately the max weight rating of our SUP boards is 110kg, so you must weigh under this to participate. If you have a reasonable level of fitness and you are comfortable with walking, then you’re not too old either! All participants must sign the waiver, where you can let me know if you have any medical concerns I should be aware of.
Q: Do I need to know how to swim?
A: While it is not required that you prove your swimming capability before your SUP session, basic swimming ability is highly recommended to ensure you won’t panic if you fall in. All participants must wear a fitted life jacket (supplied) and a leg leash attaching them to the board (supplied) so you will float if you fall in.
Q: Can I bring my own board?
A: Yes, but please let us know in advance so we can ensure it meets safety requirements. You will still be required to wear a fitted life jacket (supplied). You will still need to pay the full amount, as we have a maximum group size of 8 guests (whether they bring their own board or use ours).
