Frequently Asked Questions

Q1/7. What are your private rates?

Keen to have a 1:1 paddle board lesson? Our rate is $330 for 2 hours for groups of 1-5 people. Or maybe you’re a School teacher wanting a freelance outdoor Guide for your camp? My day rate is $550/ day as an assistant/ group leader +$110 for overnight supervision. These prices are inclusive of GST. email elise@enlivenoutdooradventures.com.au to arrange

Q2/7. Why Female Only?

A. Females are disproportionately underrepresented in outdoor adventures and sports in general. Enliven aims to help reduce this gap, by inspiring, lowering the barriers that are specific to females, and creating opportunities in female-only spaces to enable participants to feel safe and empowered to step out of their comfort zone and to connect with likeminded community. Private tours are available to all-genders.
*Please note that we also welcome non-binary, tansgender, and intersex people who are also marginalised in outdoor spaces.

Q3/7. I’m under 14, can I come alone?

A. Unfortunately not. If you are Under 14 you will need to be joined on our tours with a parent or legal guardian. If you are aged 14-18, you can participate on your own, as long as a waiver has been signed for you by a parent or legal guardian. Elise is a qualified teacher with a current working with children check.

Q4/7. What if the weather is bad on the day?

We keep a close eye on the forecast the week prior to your session. If the forecast isn’t favourable, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a reschedule or refund. If the weather is worse than predicted on the day you arrive for your experience, Enliven staff reserve the right to change location to a more sheltered area, or to cancel on the day for a rebook or full refund. We just want to keep you safe :)

Cold temperatures or rain do not constitute as unsafe conditions, and in most of those cases, we will keep calm and carry on!

Q5/7. What should I wear for my SUP experience?

It’s best to wear layers of clothing, so you can adjust what you’re wearing to suit your body temperature. In Summer, bathers, active wear, or comfortable, sun-smart clothing will be fine! In Winter, you might want to wear thermals, polarfleece, woollen layers and even a raincoat to help block the wind. In Winter, wearing footwear that can get wet is a good option too to keep your toes warm. Always bring a dry change of clothes.

Some people like wearing wetsuits, but just bear in mind that they work best to keep you warm when they are wet, and they aren’t always the most flexible item of clothing!

Q6/7. Do I have to pay upfront?

Payment can be made in full or with a 30% deposit at the time of booking. This can be made via our online RezdyPay system, or over the phone. The remaining amount will be due before your booked session, and is payable via card or cash.

Q7/7. What are your terms and conditions?

The list of our full terms and conditions can be read here. It is vital that these are read prior to booking, especially our conditions of entry.

Q8/7. I’m a man and I want to join!

A. Many of our participants come to Enliven for the reason that it is a female-only space for them to feel comfortable. However, If you want to request a private tour for a group of males, please email or call us :D
