Hi, I’m Elise, founder of
Enliven Outdoor Adventures.

I grew up in country South Australia, where my fondest memories are of learning to surf and snorkel along the stunning Yorke Peninsula and camping with my family in the rugged beauty of the Flinders Ranges. These experiences sparked my lifelong love for outdoor adventure and ignited a deep passion for the natural world.

With a double degree in Secondary Education and Health Science, majoring in physical education and geography, I pursued a career that blended my love for teaching and the outdoors. During my studies, I took a life-changing year off to train for a sea kayaking expedition across Bass Strait with an inspiring group of women. That experience taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, group dynamics, and the power of mentorship. It also fuelled my desire to pay that forward by empowering other women in the outdoors.

In 2020, after spending 10 years navigating the challenges of a male-dominated outdoor industry—working in roles ranging from shark cage diving guide to snowboarding photographer—I grew tired of always having to prove myself as a woman in the field. I decided it was time to create a space where women could step into the outdoors, feel supported, and truly thrive.

That’s how Enliven Outdoor Adventures was born: an all-female adventure business where women from all walks of life can build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the transformative power of outdoor adventure.

I hold a Cert II in Maritime Operations, as well as certifications in SUP instruction, enclosed sea kayak guiding, snorkel guiding, and bushwalking leadership. I’m also trained in remote and wilderness first aid.

The outdoors is a place for joy, growth, and connection. I can’t wait to share these fun and safe adventures with you and help you unlock your confidence along the way.
