Elise has been a keen cyclist since she was a kid, and has had the privilege of working as a mountain biking instructor and guide for outdoor education camps in North Queensland over the past few years. Now with her own fleet of vintage Peurgeot Bikes, lovingly repaired by Fleureiu Bike, Elise is excited to bring cruisy vintage cycling tours to the Fleurieu Peninsula along the Normanville and Carrickalinga coast.
A Private vintage bike tour is perfect for anyone wanting a more personalised one-on-one experience, where we can cycle at YOUR pace, and give you the instruction, breaks, and local information that suits your needs
Private sessions are also great for a couple wanting a romantic experience with your very own bike guide (and photographer to capture the moment!). Private bike tours can also suit families, work teams, sports teams or friend groups looking to make fun and adventurous memories together by bike!

Frequently asked questions:
Q: Does it matter that don’t know how to Ride a Bike?
A: unfortunately, yes, it does matter. This tour is designed for those who already know how to ride a bike. If you haven’t used this style of bike before or how to use the brakes and gears, we can teach you that.
Q: Can my kids join in?
A: Children 11-13 may participate if an adult known to them is on the tour. Children 14-17 are able to participate without adult supervision (Elise has her working with children check and RRHAN-EC training). All riders under 18 must have the waiver signed for them by a care giver. For kids under 11, book in a private session (no minimum age).
Q: What if there’s bad weather?
A: While cold weather or a drizzle of rain won’t cancel a session (I’ve got jackets to keep you warm!) a storm or heat wave might. If the forecast is too windy/ wet/ hot for your tour to go ahead, we will contact you to cancel/ postpone your bike tour as soon as possible.
Q: Am I too big/small for the bike?
A: the bikes have adjustable seat heights, so they are a “one size fits most”. They are rated to carry up to 110kg, so you must weigh under this to participate. If you are partucularly small or tall, feel free to contact me to arrange a “bike try on” before booking a tour.
Q: Will I have to ride on the road?
A: Fortunately the majority of this tour will be on bike paths, however, there are short sections where we will need to ride single file down the beach side roads (ie Jetty Road, Normanville). We will manage it safely with your small group, and get back on the paths.
Q: Can I bring my own bike?
A: Yes, but please let us know in advance so we can ensure it meets safety requirements. You will still be required to wear a fitted helmet (supplied). You will still need to pay the full amount, as we have a maximum group size of 8 guests (whether they bring their own bike or use ours).
