Testimonials

  • "Elise and Kelsi went above and beyond to make the weekend relaxing and fun, I never once felt judged by anyone and always felt so supported by everyone in the group. I even managed to stand up for the first time while surfing and caught some waves on my own even though I was scared at first. The food was also so amazing and I never went hungry. Such an amazing experience and I’m so glad I did it. Can’t wait to do it again next year!"

Frequently asked questions:

Q: Can I bring my own swag or board?

A: unfortunately not, as we have limited space in our van and trailer set up, and this space is reserved to transporting you, your gear and your swags (provided). By leaving your gear at home, everyone will have access to the same boards and swags, and it’s one less thing you need to worry about! Board and wetsuit hire is included in the cost of the surf lessons anyway, so there is no discount for BYO anyway.

Q: I already know how to surf. Will this trip still be good for me?

A: Absolutely! We have had several customers join us for SurfCamp for the fun of sharing their love of surfing with new friends and having a group of women to surf with! Plus, Neptunes have a range of boards to suit different abilities, and their instructors are always happy to help experienced surfers improve their technique or help them to catch bigger waves out the back of the line up.

Q: Is there safe drinking water available at the caravan park?

A: Yes. While the toilets and showers run on bore water, we have access to potable rainwater in the campers’ kitchen, and we will also provide you with box water in the van if you need to re-fill during the drive, plus we will carry extra water down to the beach with us each session.

Q: Can I leave my car at our meeting point, Plant 4 Bowden?

A: Yes. The carpark where we meet does not have any signage for limited parking or paid parking, so you may choose to leave your car parked there at your own risk. Other guests have done so without any issue, but please leave your car there at your own discretion. Plant 4 is also accessible by tram, train, bus, taxi or uber.

Q: Can My dietary needs be catered for?

A: We regularly cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and lactose free customers, and the feedback on the options available to them has been great. The food is a mixture of us using suppliers such as The Corny Point store and Ardrossan bakery and making/cooking our own. If you have any specific dietary concerns or allergies that you are worried about us catering for, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Q: Is there phone reception & wifi there?

A: There IS wifi at the caravan park, and some limited phone reception around Corny Point, however, we recommend telling your friends and family that you will be out of contact for most of the weekend just to keep them informed. It is also a great time to step away from your phone!

For safety purposes, we will carry a satellite phone with us at all times, and both Kelsi & Elise will carry their mobiles at all times (both with Telstra).
